Jess and Brian are lifelong Jasper locals. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing both of them for a long time, Jess from back in high school and Brian from the Jasper Hockey League. It was such an honour to be able to photograph the wedding of two amazing friends. They chose the banks of Snaring River northeast of the town of Jasper to have their ceremony. It is one of their favourite places to go fishing or get outside, and you’ll clearly see why.
This wedding brought together all the things that I love most about Jasper; the incredible landscapes, the friendly laid-back people, and the awesome, tight knit community. These two had a huge wedding party because growing up in Jasper they’ve built a solid core group of friends, and the small part of their network that was invited to the wedding still packed the Jasper Activity Center for their reception. I count myself very lucky to have been a part of their day, and Jasper is very lucky to have them as a permanent fixture in the community.
