Vancouver Engagement Photography – Spencer + Allie

This is the first of a few West Coast sessions that I’ll be posting in the next little while.  Spencer suggested checking out Tower Beach just north of UBC, and like most West Coast beaches we navigated some beautiful terrain to get there.  Spencer and Allie are no strangers on this blog, so for those of you who missed it here’s a link to their Maple Ridge Engagement Party.   And as always, I also want to throw in some shameless promotion of talented friends, so here’s a link to Spencer’s photography website.

Stephane Hachey - Wow, great work once again Brian!

brian - Thanks Stephane! I appreciate the feedback :) Hope you guys are doing well, we’ll have to do some family photos next time we get a chance!!

Two Friends

I was testing out a couple different black and white conversions on these two friends whom I miss, and I quite like the look of this.   The photographs were taken up in Jasper National Park this past fall.  As for the friends, one is in Australia and one is in Belize – so rather then missing them maybe I’ll just settle with some bitter jealousy.

Calgary Community – Earth Pulse Magazine Launch

December 4th was a bitter cold evening in Calgary, but the House Coffee Sanctuary in Kensington was a warm, crowded sanctuary of creativity and talent. The friendly staff were busy keeping up with the bustling turnout for the launch party of Earth Pulse Magazine, the brainchild of a few young forward thinking students in Calgary dedicated to ‘connecting artists and creating a vibrant arts culture’.   Performances ranged from singers to harmonica/guitar duos to very unique and charmingly recited ‘black comedy haiku’s‘.  Check out the magazine for a generous collection of diversely talented writers and artists.  Some of the musical performances at the launch party included Calgarians Danger Floyd and Matt Blais, as well as a number of other talented musicians.

Maple Ridge Engagement Party – Spencer + Allie

Spencer and Allie are two amazing people.   These two have been good friends since Spencer and I attended photography school together a few years ago.  Recently I headed out to the Lower Mainland for their engagement party.  Good times with good people.  Congratulations you two, and all the best.

Once you’ve checked out the photos head on over to Spencer’s photography website.
