This winter I had the pleasure of photographing two families that each spanned three generations. Jasper is a great spot for families to gather in the mountains and it attracts all types. The first family shown below were staying in the Outlook Cabin and were celebrating John’s 90th birthday. They wanted some formal photographs of their beautiful family to remember the occasion.
This brave family got an early start on a freezing cold morning in Jasper to get some photographs of all of them together. Nicole (shown in the vertical photo with her dog Zoey) spearheaded the idea, as it’s not too often that this family all get together. They have travelled to Jasper numerous times in the past, but now Jocelyn, Nick, and baby Ruth live all the way over in Africa. For them, the temperature switch from Africa to Jasper was somewhere around a scary 50 degrees celsius. Nicole + Jason had just recently been married in Mexico, so it was quite a switch for them as well. I had a great time hanging out with this family (despite the cold), and it was such a great idea for them to get some family photos done on their holiday together.
