On a blustery autumn day in September, Alyssa and Adam were married on Whistler’s Plateau at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. I think it was quite easily the windiest day I have ever photographed on the Plateau, as the gusts blew east over Beauvert Lake towards Signal mountain. I hadn’t had the opportunity to meet Alyssa and Adam prior to the wedding day, and I was warmly welcomed by beautiful smiles and bright yellow dresses in the main lobby of JPL. From the moment Adam and his gentlemen arrived, the connection between him and Alyssa was obvious. There was a certainty in their eyes and a confidence in their smiles that told endless tales of their connection. Adam’s brother and best man kept the wedding party laughing and in good spirits as I forced the poor ladies to hike around the Outlook Point in their high heels. I feel very fortunate to have spent those few short hours with these two and their friends, it was an honour to capture a part of their story.
